Legislative Advocacy
The West County Chamber represents over 325 businesses in West Anne Arundel County. Our intent is to monitor issues, educate our members, actively advocate for or against those issues that affect our area, and foster an open discussion between our elected representatives and area business owners. Our legislative efforts center on BRAC/Transportation, the Odenton Town Center, and Small Business Concerns. In addition to those primary areas of concern, the Chamber is actively involved with the Maryland Chamber of
Commerce and supports their position on tax policy, civil liability policy, environmental law, improvement in education, and other issues of concern to business interests and constituents.
The West County service area covers eleven zip codes including Annapolis Junction, Crownsville, Fort Meade, Gambrills, Hanover, Jessup, Maryland City, MIllersville, Odenton and Severn.
